Patch for v2.8.1 Released
Users with RPi 4 Model B+s using our v2.8.1 software reported several issues in PiperCode and one issue in Story Mode.
This patch, released as a shell script file that can be downloaded here includes the following fixes:
- Fixes in PiperCode which allow inputs to be properly detected and processed to trigger actions. This corrects issues previously seen with Light Show, Siren, and Debug (PiperCode).
- SPI pins (GPIO pins 24 and 26) previously incorrectly enabled are disabled to allow proper function. This corrects issues previously seen with Funky Fungi (StoryMode).
- The Piper Self-repair tool has been removed to reduce risk of erroneously corrupting Piper software
with download of incompatible packages.
- We now recommand that you reflash your SD card to the version appropriate for your kit you are experiencing any issues by following the instructions in the Piper Software Guide.
- Relevant bookmarks have been added to the Chromium browser to simplify access to updates as needed.
- Unmutes the audio driver on startup to help keep audio enabled.
